My new little scouting buddy.

The boys went to Grand Junction to spend the week with Jess and Paul, so I needed to find someone else to go scouting with me.

Doesn't she look cute in the Broncos hat!!

She wasn't very quiet, but the elk didn't seem to care!!

Here are some pictures of the elk we saw tonight. Nothing huge, but still some decent bulls. There were a total of 28 bulls there!

These are pictures of a bull that a friend sent me today. He has a trail camera set up in the Gooseberry area.

Looks like a dang good bull.

All these dang big bull sightings are making it hard to sleep at night!

Big bull!

It sure makes it hard to focus at work when co-workers show you pictures like this!

This is a picture of a bull on Fishlake. Hopefully we see a lot more of this come September!! This bull would be dead at first light opening morning. Exactly what I am looking for and dreaming about every night!!

If that doesn't get the blood boiling nothing will!!!

I must be crazy!

What a guy wont sacrifice to get the right equipment that he loves!

I bought a backpack at Sportsman's Warehouse when we were in St. George a couple weeks ago, and really liked it, but it wasn't the one that I really wanted. The one I really wanted was a lot more, and I couldn't justify spending that much more. Then on Tuesday after our trip to St. George we had to take Aubrei up to a doctor's appointment in Lehi, so I had to stop at Sportsman's Warehouse to just see what they had, and they had the backpack I wanted marked down to just $10.00 more than I paid for my other one. I was mad! So after crying over that for a week I decided that I had to go back up and trade for the good one.

I know it seems crazy to drive 4 hours round trip for a stupid backpack, but I just HAD to have it!! If it would of been my wife doing the same thing for clothes or something I would probably have been mad!

I decided to make it into a daddy daughter date, and took Aubrei with me. It was a quick trip, but she was pretty good.

I just feed her candy the whole time!

This is the beloved pack!

I cant wait to get out and use it!

60 days to go!

Well we are down to 60 days left, and still only the one scouting trip so far. This had been a pretty crazy summer, and it is actually going by faster than I thought it would.

Parker and I did get the trailer up yesterday.

I cant wait to start spending a lot of time there. You get there and don't want to leave.

Last weekend we were in St. George getting family pictures taken. I guess that is a good excuse to not be scouting. I hoped to post some of the pictures on here, but the girl doesn't have them posted on her blog yet. When she does I will be sure to post. JaLee won a free photography session from a lady in St. George, so it was a good thing to get done. We haven't had a good family picture for years.

Probably wont get up next weekend either. It is the 24th of July holiday. We are planning to go with Paul and Jess to Yuba.

I told JaLee I hope she is enjoying all of this, because when the middle of August hits her husband will be moving out!!
